Register now for the 2026 AOA conference in California

This year the meeting is hosted at Donkey Hill Ostrich in Lockwood, CA. The IHG Army Hotel (Gibb Hall) is actually "on base" at Ft. Hunter Ligget and a room block is available for AOA members for approximately $125 per night. For reservations call 831-263-3040. The room block is available Thursday night through Saturday night, conference presentations on Friday (Nov 6) and the annual meeting on Saturday (Nov 7). Friday night we will have a BBQ and social mixer. Saturday morning is ranch breakfast, annual meeting, and farm tour.

Donkey Hill is hidden in a broad coastal valley that parallels the California Pacific Coast. The closest airport is San Louis Obispo (SBP), which is about 1 hour by car to the farm. Robie and Jane Dobkins are graciously inviting AOA members to hold our annual conference on their beautiful venue. The farm has a large outdoor pavilion where we will hold presentations and a BBQ social Friday, and a farm tour plus the annual meeting on Saturday.Donkey Hill Photo Gallery

As always, our primary goal is collaboration and fellowship for our members. Together we thrive as we build the industry. This conference is an opportunity for us to collaborate and rise the tide for all. Presentation topics will include Oil Processing (Tony Vanella), NPIP program update (USDA), Ostrich Jeopardy, The Value of NPIP to our industry (Michael Lehman), the importance of Hatchery Process Controls (roundtable discussion), and everything else you want to learn!

Back by popular demand, we are printing limited edition t-shirts for the conference. They are custom printed so orders must be in by October 12. Please click here: Storefront to order your conference shirt. All orders will be available for pickup at the conference.

This year the board voted to charge a small fee for attendance. A $50 per person registration fee will help to offset food and beverage costs.
